You will be picked at the SJO airport by our bilingual driver for your private transfer to La Fortuna. Relax in the comfortable & spacious minivan during your approx. 2.5-hour drive through beautiful green rolling hills to your lodging near the base of the Arenal Volcano. Take your time to enjoy the sites and ask your driver to stop for photos at any time.

Want to spend an unforgettable day hiking through the lush Costa Rican rainforest, and witness three of the most famous sites in the Arenal, La Fortuna area of Costa Rica? Start your day as you hike across the 2 mile Arenal Hanging Bridges and see the jungle from high above the forest floor. Your naturalist guide will teach you about Costa Rican culture, history, while you experience what we like to call "nature therapy." Immerse yourself in nature while you try to spot different species of plants, animals, and birds for approx. 2.5 hrs along the way. Appreciate the wildlife as you cross the 15 different bridges, 6 of them are the ones hanging.

These trails bring you as close as you’d ever hope to see the rainforest and its inhabitants, as well as give you access to see stunning views of the rainforest and mountains.

After your adventure on the hanging bridges, you will head to an Arenal Volcano National Reserve. Hike thought the breath-taken lava flow for 1.5 hours to 2 hours. -- perfect for a leisurely and informative hike with one of our naturalist guides! We’ll head through the jungle, hiking through well-groomed, easy trails that skirt the base of the Arenal Volcano.

Once you're done in the reserve, you'll head to the Hunters & Gatherers restaurant where you will get to try delicious Costa Rican food that makes you feel good -- there are plenty of vegetarian options, gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan, too, available. You'll love this fresh, amazing meal in one of La Fortuna's secret hangout at El Salto waterfall.

Then, you'll finish the day at the stunning La Fortuna Waterfall. When you reach the entrance, you will have time to change into your bathing suit in case you want to cool off in the cool pools that flow from the waterfall. This is sure to be a good workout as there are 500 steps to get to the down to the waterfall, and 500 to get back up! When you reach the bottom, you'll have an opportunity to take lots of pictures and swim in the cool waters of one of the largest and most breathtaking waterfalls in Arenal!

DAY 4 MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

Manuel Antonio National Park Hike

Explore one of the most diverse habitats in the world on a guided nature hike through Manuel Antonio National Park. A trained eye and familiarity with the park enable your guide to point out animals you would likely overlook on your own. Additionally, the guide brings along a spotting scope so you can get up-close views of everything from monkeys and sloths to toucans and hummingbirds. You can then stay at the park and enjoy one of the private beaches and do some souvenir shopping along the entrance to the park. Head to a local restaurant to enjoy the views on your own.

Private Transfer From Manuel Antonio to SJO Airport (San Jose)

Your chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the airport. It's about a 3-hour drive, so you'll want to plan ahead to get to the airport on time. Your driver is friendly, professional, punctual and always available to provide interesting information about Costa Rica, pick out fascinating wildlife along the way or even teach you a few words in Spanish!
