Feb 17 The Arenal Volcano: Where Enchantment Meets Adventure and Paradise Beckons

There is something magical about this place. It’s like there is some sort of magnetic draw to that big, behemoth, iconic, perfectly-coned mountain. We do think the Arenal Volcano is a special place - and for so many reasons. We are surrounded by lush, green rainforest, tropical rivers, luscious hot springs and yet we have all of the modern, high-end amenities imaginable.

And options abound. You will definitely want to add to your bucket list rafting, canyoning hiking, biking, kayaking, cultural activities, yoga, spa days, vibrant nightlife and amazingly fresh cuisine. And you might like it so much here that you might want to stay. I mean, really, just like a growing number of ex-pats, you might be interested in buying your own little piece of paradise.

Having traveled the world, I can attest that Arenal's nature and tranquility are unparalleled. The rainforest, clean rivers, and rich local culture make it a place like no other. Allow me to share some of our favorite experiences:

6) Delight your taste buds with delectable patacones and casado dishes at a local Soda.
